Responsibilities:
Applicant should be able to provide superior interpreting skills for a variety of consumers i.e. MLS (minimal language skills) users, professionals, ASL users, English users and foreign born deaf consumers. They should also have a facility with sign-supported speech and oral interpreting. The successful applicant will be flexible and professional, exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and work well in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Requirements:
- Practical knowledge of the RID and NAD Code of Professional Conduct/Code of Ethics.

Digital Video Editor
Viable is seeking a Digital Video Editor to coordinate and produce still and motion media projects.
Responsibilities:
- Report to Creative Director and work with team to determine program content and structure; research and write program scripts.
- Coordinate and direct media projects; supervise production to include scheduling personnel and support activities; contract for professional services; direct location shooting, sound recording, editing, laboratory preparation and completion.
- Participate in the production of scripts, slide/tape programs and motion media projects including original footage and animation.
- Preview videos with multimedia design team; edit videos; coordinate production of artwork to include titles and animation.
- Maintain records reflecting operational activities, costs of services and inventory of productions.
- Maintain inventory of required cinematographic supplies and equipment; evaluate new equipment, films and techniques for still and motion media application; recommend purchase of new equipment and supplies; perform routine maintenance on photographic, sound and related equipment.
- Evaluates and selects scenes in terms of dramatic and entertainment value and story continuity.
- Edits video segments to specified lengths and reassembles segments in sequence that presents story with maximum effect.
- Reviews assembled film or edited videotape on screen or monitor and makes corrections.
- Monitors on-air programs to ensure technical quality of broadcast
Requirements:
- Must have proficiency in video editing software such as Avid, Adobe Premiere Pro and AfterEffects or Final Cut Pro
- A deep understanding of the production of still and motion media projects in order to coordinate and direct the production of such projects
- Ability to lead media projects, including supervision of video production, scheduling, contracting professional services, directing location shooting, sound recording, editing and various other related technical duties

Lead Web Programmer

- Provide technical assistance to customers requiring help in: (1) setting up Viable Vision and/or VPAD's; (2) adding ViableVRS.tv to their videophone; and (3) placing a ViableVRS call using both methods.
- Provide remote customer education and training on using ViableVRS, developing educational/training materials as needed.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues as required to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Report service-related issues and interface with Customer Support.
- Provide, on a escalation basis, second-tier customer support and/or technical assistance to customers, in collaboration with Customer Support.

Viable is seeking an experienced Database Administrator with strong software development skills. Candidate must have experience designing and implementing databases for the use of client/server based applications, database driven websites, E-commerce, and data warehousing. Viable operates a mixed environment of open source RDBMs, MySQL and PostgreSQL. Experience with Oracle is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure "Five 9s" availability of database systems used for and by Viable's Video Relay Service and products.
- Maintenance, upgrades, and migrations.
- Must maintain data integrity and security.
- Database backup and restoration.
- Disaster recovery planning and procedures.
- Performance analysis, tuning and debugging.
- Query analysis, tuning and debugging.
- Must create and maintain documentation including database models and dictionaries.

Software Project Manager
The position plans, directs and coordinates activities of software engineering projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
